To celebrate this year’s NIKE Air Max Day, we helped VEGNONVEG create a customized Nike Air Max 1 planter to be given away with each “Give Fresh Air” sneaker donation. For the last few weeks, the VNV Fam in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai have been dropping by our stores to donate, receive and help us give back to our community.
What makes the shape of this sneaker-inspired planter truly unique, is that it has been cast and replicated from a pair of pre-loved sneakers. The foundation of the design is a beaten-up pair of Air Max 1s from Nike’s 2010 “Omega Pack”, which belongs to VNV founder Abhineet Singh

We handcrafted 450 of these sustainable, limited-edition planters using a mix of water-based resin, hardener, fiberglass sheeting and some of that VEGNONVEG DNA and sent them to the three stores in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore over the course of three weeks.
